Structured cabling is a standardized system of cables, connectors, and hardware that forms the physical backbone of your network. Unlike point-to-point wiring, a structured system follows TIA/EIA-568 or ISO/IEC 11801 standards — making it scalable, easier to troubleshoot, and built to support future technology upgrades.

Cat6 supports up to 1 Gbps at 100 meters and 10 Gbps at shorter runs (up to 55m). Cat6A supports 10 Gbps at full 100-meter runs with better shielding against alien crosstalk. For new office builds or data centers targeting 10GBase-T, Cat6A is the recommended standard.

TIA-568 is a set of telecommunications cabling standards that defines specifications for cabling systems in commercial buildings — including cable types, connector pinouts (T568A/T568B), distances, and testing methods. Installations following TIA-568 ensure interoperability, warranty compliance, and future-proof infrastructure.

Fluke certification uses Fluke Networks' DSX CableAnalyzer series to test every installed cable run against TIA or ISO standards. Each run receives a Pass/Fail result based on parameters including insertion loss, NEXT, return loss, and propagation delay. Certified test reports prove that cabling performs to specification.
