What types of firewalls do you install?+

What is the difference between a firewall and endpoint security?+
A firewall controls traffic at the network perimeter — what comes in and goes out of your network. Endpoint security (EDR/antivirus) protects individual devices — laptops, servers, and mobile endpoints — from threats that bypass the perimeter. Both layers are needed for a complete defence-in-depth architecture.

What is IP CCTV surveillance and how is it better than analogue CCTV?+
IP CCTV cameras transmit video over your existing network infrastructure. Benefits include: higher resolution (2MP–8MP), remote viewing from any device, intelligent video analytics (motion, intrusion, ANPR), and easier scalability. Modern IP systems support cloud storage and central monitoring.
What is ANPR and how does it work?+
ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) uses AI-based cameras to automatically read and log vehicle number plates. Common use cases include office/factory entry gates and parking management. Layerix installs ANPR integrated with your access barrier systems.
What is a biometric access control system?+
A biometric access control system uses unique physical identifiers — fingerprint, face, iris — to grant or deny entry. It is more secure than card/PIN systems since credentials cannot be shared or stolen. Layerix integrates biometric readers with door interlock systems, turnstiles, and attendance management software.
What is a door interlock system?+
A door interlock ensures only one door in a sequence can open at a time — used in server rooms and secure areas. When the first door opens, the second remains locked until the first is fully closed and the user authenticated. Layerix designs and installs these integrated with biometric readers.
Do you offer CCTV AMC services?+
Yes. Our CCTV AMC plans cover preventive maintenance, camera health checks, DVR/NVR maintenance, lens cleaning, and break-fix response under a defined SLA. Contracts are available monthly, quarterly or annually with 12×6 support.
