What is buddy punching and how does biometric attendance prevent it?+
Buddy punching is when one employee clocks in for another. Biometric systems require the actual person's fingerprint or face, making it impossible for someone else to record attendance on their behalf.
Which payroll / HRMS systems can the attendance system integrate with?+
We support integration with Tally, SAP, Greytip, Keka, Zoho People, and most standard HRMS platforms. We can also provide raw data exports in CSV/Excel if custom integration is needed.
What happens if an employee's fingerprint is not recognised?+
We enrol two fingers per employee as backup. Facial recognition is also available as an alternative. Administrators can also use a PIN or card as a secondary factor, but we encourage biometric to maintain integrity.
Can the system manage multiple shifts and rotating rosters?+
Yes. The software supports unlimited shifts, shift rotation patterns, and weekly/monthly rosters. Overtime rules can be configured per shift or per employee category.
How is leave differentiated from unauthorised absence?+
The system integrates with leave management. When leave is approved in HR, attendance is automatically marked 'On Leave'. Unauthorised absences appear as exceptions for managers to review.
Can employees access their own attendance records?+
